Woodpeckers

Woodpeckers is run by Mrs Sloss and meets on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm – 3pm in the school hall in the summer term, giving children and parents the opportunity to familiarise themselves with school facilities and  to meet Mrs O’Connor and their new teacher.

All children who are starting Tavistock Infant School in September can attend with their parents or carer and younger siblings are welcome too.

We provide interesting and fun activities. Each week there is a theme, such as People in the Community and Creepy Crawlies. Activities include arts and crafts, imaginative play, puzzles, a PE activity and number/letter practice.

We end the sessions with a 15 minute story and songs/rhymes for children and parents with either a Year R teacher or Mrs O’Connor.

Cost: £1.50 per family
