Music Lesson – Bumblebee Class

In music this week, we started off by responding to 2 pieces of classical music. We closed our eyes and listened intently. We spoke about the dynamics of soft and loud. Next, we learnt about the meaning of duration. We used Beethoven’s 5th Symphony as our prime example of long sounds and short sounds. We had a go at using different musical instruments and we listened to whether each instrument created a long or short sound. After that, we had a go at composing and performing a group piece of music focussing on dynamics and duration. In our final lesson, we had a go at singing a new song with accuracy and an awareness of other performers. A really fun and musical week! (Mrs Ford)
