June
My last blog was before half term and I am not sure what happened last week that made me forget to write but I clearly did. As I always say, no-one is perfect they just think they are! In my next life I have always said I am going to be a cow in a field chewing grass and no doubt I will wander off to the wrong clump of grass at some point but hey-ho life will still go on.
It would be fibbing if I said staff weren’t counting down the days until the end of term because we are. I think the children are counting down a little bit too and some children are extremely tired and tearful. We have had quite a few conversations with the children about how we can still achieve happily together even when we are exhausted and perhaps a bit scared about changes coming up- we will be alright. Children are so much more resilient than we sometimes give them credit for and we shouldn’t forget that. As much as we will always protect our children it is our duty to prepare them for the world they will live in. There will be challenges but there will be so many great things too. We will be alright.
I started this blog yesterday and it is now a very hot and sticky Friday. TAFF are in the hottest part of the school helping the children to make their secret presents for Sunday. I don’t envy them at all. Thankfully we have so much shade in our playground the children are well protected from the sun. I was lucky enough to be the Andes Climber monitor today and the children were definitely determined to get all the way round. One little girl said it was like an assault course! The record for the number of children who can fit in the caravan at once is still 11 and due to health and safety we do of course supervise and only 4 children are really allowed in at a time. The car to tow the caravan is still on order so it hasn’t actually visited anywhere yet but I will definitely be one of the 4 when it is hooked up ready to go.
Right I must dash off to assembly now because I am delivering it! Have a wonderful weekend when it arrives.
