Transport
Please make your own arrangements to take children to and from school. Our aim is to encourage the use of more sustainable modes of travel for journeys to and from school. However, if you do drive please note that there is no room in the staff car park for parents. Please park considerately around the school and in particular around Broadacres as it is important that we remain on friendly terms with our neighbours. Please help us to keep all our children safe.
Uniform
The school colours are pillar box red, white and grey.
Children do not need to wear uniform with the school logo on, but if you wish to purchase uniform showing the school logo you can order it from the Brigade Website.
Samples of uniform sizes are available at the school office.
Please ensure that all clothing is marked with your child’s name.
Children can wear:
Grey trousers or shorts
Grey skirt or pinafore dress
Red gingham summer dress or playsuit
White shirt/blouse or white/red polo top with or without the Tavistock logo
Red sweatshirt or cardigan with or without the Tavistock logo
Appropriate black shoes
Grey, red or white socks or tights
Any style jacket or coat appropriate for the weather
To enable your child to benefit from the physical education offered in our curriculum, please provide the following items:
Any suitable T-shirt and shorts
A pair of gym shoes without laces

School Clubs
Many opportunities exist for children to take part in lunchtime and after school activities. These include Football and Boogie Pumps. For details of days and times please contact the school office. These activities are run by outside organisations and there is a charge.
School Council
Everyone in our school has a voice not just the councillors!
The School Council is made up of elected representatives who are chosen democratically by their classmates to be their class councillors. Councillors meet with Mrs O and governors to make decisions that help to improve our school. The School Council has worked on lots of projects with including health and safety walks and showing round visitors.
Free Fruit and Vegetable Scheme
All children may have a piece of free fruit or vegetable each day for morning break. Children who cannot eat particular fruits or vegetables can bring their own healthy snack on request. All children should bring a bottle of water to drink during the day.
