Thank you so much to all the Tavistock team for organising the Giants in School Day last week and welcoming us giants in. It was wonderful to get to spend the day in school with our children seeing what they get up to. I was so impressed by the incredible castles they created and how lovely and kind they were to each other when asking to borrow tape and other materials. It was a really special day – my first Giants in School Day since my daughter Hazel was in Hedgehog class in 2019/2020. And, as predicted, I was very tired afterwards! Our daughter Belle only started the school on the 30th June and I have to say the school have been absolutely amazing with helping her to settle in and enjoy schooling again. She has made some amazing friends in rabbits as well as badgers. She quickly formed a friendship group after 7 days.
Today I got to experience Giants in school day and it was lovely. It allowed me to see how she was settling in. What they got up to during the day. We enjoyed building a hamster run, we read and enjoyed playing in the mud kitchen or having perfume made. We also played hide and seek in the playground with the parents and kids as well as enjoying lunch.
For a new parent and child I’m already satisfied we made the right decision in transferring out child from her previous school.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff and of course Mrs O’Connor for all you do for the parents and children.

Violet is loving Woodpeckers. The wide variety of activities has enabled her to meet lots of different children that she did not know before Woodpeckers and also has made her very excited about what she will be doing at school.
Having multiple sessions has made Violet feel more relaxed and excited about starting school – before these sessions it was a big unknown to her.
Many thanks to all the staff involved in setting up the sessions.

It was so wonderful to visit Badgers for Giants in school day. I have had a lovely time spending the day with Theo and seeing the enthusiasm he has for learning there. This is down to the fantastic teaching team!
We were both very tired when we got in and sat for a tea and chat in the garden. He was buzzing about his day with Mummy.

Giants at school in badger class was exhausting but fun, the kids are so lucky to have so many things to do at school and such lovely staff. I tried and enjoyed the infamous bubble salmon, I also got a sticker for eating all of my vegetables.
