‘The Tiny Seed’

Our story this week is ‘The Tiny Seed’ which is a lovely way of teaching the children about the lifecycle of a plant.

In Drawing Club, the children drew their own seed, designed what the seed grew into and where the seed travelled to next. They gave their seed a password to help it grow, described their flower and what happened to the seed.

In maths the children have been recappig number bonds to 5, 6 and 7.

In phonics the children practised ‘air’ (that’s not fair) and ‘ir’ (whirl and twirl) as well as practising all of the sounds that we have already learnt.

The children have produced some lovely observation drawings of different plants and flowers that have been in their classrooms this week.

Please can the children bring their library books back on Monday so that they can visit the library and choose a new one. Thank you.

Have a lovely weekend
