This was the last Woodpeckers session this year. The topic was ‘The Zoo’. The children made giraffe collages and there were lots of games and puzzles, cars and garages, dolls and dolls house and construction sets, Mrs Steevens, with three helpers from Badger Class, read the story ‘Tiptoe Tiger’ and sang a song at the end of the session.

Very sadly, this was my last Woodpeckers session. I have really enjoyed preparing and running the sessions for the last 33 years. It used to be called PALS (Play and Learn Scheme) but Mrs Eagle, the headteacher, and I changed the name to Woodpeckers. A great big thank you to all the families who have attended the sessions over the years.
