Fishy Friday again and all is good with the world. I am actually having one of the delicious jacket potatoes today. My only slight moan is that we don't get Lurpak on them, but I could bring my own or just enjoy it as it is and show gratitude for the lovely lunch.
I have a lot of meetings coming up next week and have been busy preparing reports making sure I have dotted the i's and crossed the t's. My typing skills aren't great and there are certain words I always seem to get wrong such as form instead of from. You would think that because I only use two fingers I would be able to hit the right keys! Never mind, no-one is perfect they just think they are.
I am clearly accountable to HCC and my governing body and you would be amazed at all the plates I have to keep spinning. One minute I am checking asbestos and the next minute being a lunchtime supervisor. A lovely dad said to me this morninng that his son had asked where the dinner lady was at the gate and lo and behold I was stood at Badger class door about to be the teacher. I told the lovely dad I really can turn my hand to most things including unblocking toilets and helping in the lunch hall. I am of course always making sure the children are safe and achieving happily together.
I have never wanted to be anything other than a teacher and used to play schools with my Grandma Mac. She was a very willing pupil and I am sure that she helped me on my way to becoming an actual real life teacher. It is lovely to see your children at play and you can often see the more vocal children who have plans to rule the world but there are also quieter children who will rule the world too, just in a different way. There is room for everyone BUT we must always be kind, tolerant and understanding of others along the way.
Have a marvellous weekend when it arrives. I am off to be grandma this weekend and I am most excited. I can hardly believe that Fred will be a month old on Monday. I wonder if he will want Lurpak on his jacket potatoes?
