Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely half term break!

Our story this week is ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’.

In Drawing Club, the children drew their own bear and wrote some fabulous descriptions.  They also had a go at coming up with ideas for their own version of different parts of the story.

In maths the children practised doubling numbers to 5 in different ways.

In phonics the children practised ‘ar’ (start the car) and ‘or’ (shut the door) as well as practising all of the sounds that we have already learnt.

There have been some fabulous creative art pieces being produced this week and these have included painting the bear, making bear footprints, using junk modelling to make a cave and creating a story scene all based on our story of the week.
