This morning a scientist came to visit the Year 2 children. She demonstrated some experiments, including making a ‘volcano’, chatted about which materials are better for the environment, and told them about a few extraordinary inventions made by children. One of these was about a six year old boy from Hampshire, who collected more than 2,500 confectionery tubs from landfill to make outdoor furniture including benches.
